In recent years, it has become poplar to say that the poor do not need doctrine but rather, are in need of a relationship in order to experience Christ. Doctrine is seen as cold and sterile while vibrant worship is seen as warm and inviting. But this does a disservice to the poor and robs them of the fullness of Christ.
