Ed Welch’s recent piece, A Christmas Memory, is being celebrated as a wonderful example of how his parents stepped out of their comfort zone to purchase a Christmas gift which embodied his desire to pursue worldliness. But is this an example of how parents should embrace their children or is it a case of compromising the holiness of their child? From the blog post,
