Kevin DeYoung brings up some valid concerns with N.T. Wright’s propensity to minimize personal eschatology in favor of a cosmic renewal. Like DeYoung, I understand Wright’s concern and I also think that Wright, like so many Christus Victor types, have overreacted in their concern for our lack of emphasis on the renewal of all things. DeYoung offers a good, if not incomplete assessment. I would like to see more done on this topic within the Evangelical and Reformed camps. It is right to long for both individual renewal and cosmic renewal. Read, Away from the Body and at Home with the Lord
