No thanks. Sounds like a guy with ling hair and a “me” complex.

Yes. He did. It was annoying.

  2. Some of us girls find the idea of a man broken over lost love a romantic idea! But if he is like paralyzed over his loss for decades like it sounds from other reviews and locking himself in a house by himself with no one but a cat well, that kind of man is not romantic he is self absorbedand I’d probably get sick of him too.

Spot on. The sad thing is the book was great otherwise.

This book came to me as a recommendation from friend. Frankly I am a thriller/mystery reader. I knew that this book was not that type of read but I respect the friend. I could not get past 11 chapters and even getting that far was difficult. I am a lover of reading and of Paris. I found the characters to be boring, depressing and without ‘a life’. Maybe because I am 73 with a lot more life experience but I could not bear ‘listening’ to them! I will not finish it and have asked my friend why she recommend it to me. I never comment on anything publicly but for some reason this book irritated me enough to go to that level!

Suzan I couldn’t agree more! The description showed so much promise but it was a disappointment. Even the books he recommended to his “patients” were a disappointment.
