I really enjoyed this post by Callie Skakos. In it, she describes her introduction to running at 12 years old (her father’s suggestion that she was getting fat) and the subsequent journey of trying to please him and measure up by the law of running. This is such a good illustration of how we can incorrectly use the law. It isn’t until we understand that we can’t measure up and embrace the free gift of the gospel that we start to obey the law joyfully. Read, The Law of Running.
