The Righteousness of One

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. PLEASE READ MY DISCLOSURE FOR MORE DETAILS.

Chad Bird wrote this poem by combining two well known events from the Bible. The result is sobering. We don’t often think of the gospel when we read of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah but as Bird demonstrates, it is there. Within Abraham’s pleading with God is a shadow of the one who is righteous on our behalf. Read: Sodom and Gomorrah and St. Louis

I really enjoyed that. I think just about everything I have read from Chad Bird is top notch. I don’t think I ever saw a gospel connection in this story either but it makes sense where there is a pleading for God to relent if just one righteous man be found. Then Revelation 4 I think , no one could be found who was worthy to open the scroll except for the Lamb who was slain.

On another note, I have been sharing some of your posts on Facebook but they never show up in the share count. Any idea why? I see that sometimes there are Facebook and Twitter share counts showing but never after I share. Is it on a delay? Well God bless. Keep posting. You encourage my weary soul!
