Christmas is, in the final assessment, a story of a bloody war between good and evil in which the end of the story is certain victory for those who put their trust in God. Getting there from a baby in a manager however, involves the unfolding of a plan set in motion in eternity past. A story of a God who is intolerant of evil and whose wrath was satisfied by the sending of his own son to earth in the form of a baby for no other reason than to bear the wrath of God on behalf of those whom the Father has adopted in Christ.
