Lights out during corporate singing? To be honest, I never knew this was a “thing” but it appears that it has been for some time now. This saddens me. It further divorces the idea of community from our worship and fosters an individualism in worship which is foreign to scripture. There is no more sense of covenant … of looking around and realizing that these are my people and together we worship our God. Lights off in worship? No thanks. Read, Who Turned the Lights Out?
